A 4 days / 3 nights action adventure in the Philippines'
Northern Luzon Wilderness involving kayaking,
caving, rappelling and white water rafting. Kayak
the Class I to II rapids on the Pinacanauan River
and raft the Class II to IV high waters of Chico
River. Rafting for four hours with beautiful scenery
of canyons and waterfalls from Pasil to Tabuk,
Kalinga. Swim in the crystal clear waters of
Pinacanauan and Chico Rivers.
Detail Itinerary
Day 1. Manila -
Tuguegarao
Arrival in Tuguegarao on PR 208. In Penablanca, pitch the
campsite in the nearby Pinacanauan River. Picnic
lunch at the camp. Explore two of Penablanca's
hundreds of significant and awesome caverns, Callao
and Sierra Caves. At dusk watch the circadian
flights of bats. At the campsite a short clinic on
basic whitewater kayaking and safety will be
conducted. Bonfire dinner at the campsite.
Accommodation in tents.
Day 2. Peñablanca
Breakfast at the camp. Kayak at the Pinacanauan River. Picnic lunch.
Afternoon rappelling down by a cliff of about 100 feet. Break camp
and pack up for Tuguegarao. Check-in at Lorita Hotel for
accommodation. Orientation on whitewater rafting and dinner in a
private house.
Day 3. Tuguegarao - Tabuk -
Tuguegarao
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by jeepney to Pasil in Kalinga. In
Pasil raft down the Chico River for about 4 hours on grade 2 to 4
rapids. Take out point in Tabuk, then lunch in a simple restaurant.
Return to Tuguegarao late afternoon for accommodation at Lorita
Hotel. Dinner in a private house.
Day 4. Tuguegarao - Manila
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of Tuguegarao City. Transfer to
the airport for the flight back to Manila via PR 237 (1205H/1300H).

- All equipment necessary: kayak, rafts, helmets, lifevests,
