A fascinating cycling holiday on
the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Vietnam.
By mountain bike is the perfect way to explore
the
Ho
Chi Minh Trail and northern
Vietnam. Cycling on quiet roads and
tracks through traditional villages, this
exciting cycling holiday explores the remote and
previously inaccessible northern part of the
Ho
Chi Minh Trail. En route, we cycle
to the spectacular scenery and caves of the
Phong Nha National Park and see numerous
fascinating relics of the
Vietnam War, such as the combat base
at
Khe
Sanh. Other highlights we cycle to
include the ‘Imperial City’ of
Hue, a perfect place to relax at the
end of this great cycling holiday in
Vietnam.
Quang Binh launches
ecotourism tour
Visitors both inside and outside the country
now will have the opportunity to explore the
Nuoc Mooc ecotourism site that opened in the
central province of Quang Binh on August 31.
Around 30 km far from the centre
of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a world
natural heritage, Nuoc Mooc boasts spectacular
natural landscapes such as the Gio (Wind)
waterfall and other ecotourism potentials.
The same day, a drive was
launched at the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
to call on the local people and holidaymakers to
vote for the park as one of the world’s natural
wonders.
Local authorities expects the
drive will help promote the image of Quang
Binh’s people and historic land, particularly
the park’s potentials, for the better protection
of the world heritage with verity active from

Open Charity
Challenges
What is an Open
Challenge?
Perfect for individuals, small groups and
smaller charitable organizations, Open Charity
Challenges offer you the chance to join a group
challenge and raise money for a charity of your
choice. With a lower minimum fundraising target
and the same superb range of exotic
destinations, Open Challenges are proving
increasingly popular. For you, the open
challenges are a fantastic way to support a
cause close to your heart. For your chosen
charity, provided they are happy for you to
raise a minimum of US$200 or event more (paid
directly to the charity) on an overseas
challenge they simply need to support your
fundraising where necessary. This would involve
offering advice and materials and ensuring that
they receive your minimum sponsorship either by
our recommended deadline date or on a date
agreed by the Charity.
Our Open Challenges are designed so that the
tour cost is (paid directly to the charity)
ensuring that it is clear to both the charity
and your sponsors where their money is going!
While we only require evidence of a minimum of
US$200 sponsorship for our challenges, should
you choose to fundraise for the total amount
(including the tour cost) we would encourage you
to increase your sponsorship target to match the
cost of the trip. This will enable you to
reassure your sponsors that at least 30% of
their donation goes directly to the Charity.
Some Other Information?
- For large donations, please
contact us or consult your tour
guide/leader for appropriate projects that we
currently support or we can help guiding the
donations to the right people.
- For small donations, please ask your tour
guide/leader to help contacting community
chiefs, school headmasters, teachers, local
doctors, charity organizations...your donations
are best distributed through these channels.
- Money may not be the best donation you can
think of, when visiting hill tribe villages,
essentials like pens, notebooks, clothes...are
highly appreciated.
- Please note that you are expected to give a
small donation when visiting temples, pagodas or
religious sites. There are always donation boxes
at these places for the purpose.
- Avoid having the feeling that you need to give
some ''material' things to please the host,
friendship can be achieved through
conversations, sharing knowledge, jokes…
